Kaisenschmarren ricetta

Kaisenschmarren is a sweet dessert that takes its name from the Austrian emperor (Kaiser) Franz Joseph I, who was very fond of this kind of fluffy shredded pancake. Kaiserschmarrn is a popular dessert in Austria, Bavaria, and many parts of the former Austro-Hungarian empire. 

Ingredients for 4 people:
5 free-range eggs
600 ml milk
1 pinch of salt
500 g flour
60 g butter
icing sugar for dusting
4 tablespoon cranberry jelly or Nutella
4 tablespoon apple puree

Preparation:
Put the eggs, milk and salt into a mixing bowl and beat vigorously with a whisk until fluffy. Then add the flour and stir well. Heat the butter in a pan, then add the batter and fry at low heat until the bottom is slightly browned. Turn at intervals until it is slightly brown all over. Finally, cut into small pieces, put on plates, dust with icing sugar and serve with cranberry jelly, nutella or apple puree.
